Latest Search Press news ~ Tim has been commissioned to write book number 4, details and medium to be announced at a later date

Tim has three published books by Search Press having recently completed a third titled "Beginners Guide to Painting with Oil Pastels" This was released in October 2018 and is available to order on Amazon now.

November 2017 saw him spending three days at Search Press HQ in Tunbridge Wells doing all the photo shoots and step by step images for the oil pastel book, you can see him hard at work below

We were delighted to send Yves-Marie Salanson, the Artistic Director for Sennelier a copy of the Oil Pastel Book.
The books paintings were all created using the Sennelier oil pastel range and Yves-Marie is shown trying one of the painting projects.

Tim's art in words

As a popular art tutor he is always willing to share his knowledge of art techniques.
This naturally led to Tim being sought after as an author of articles for the Leisure Painter magazine.

He was then approached by Search Press to write his first book about painting flowers in acrylic.
The publishers help and guidance through the development of the book, led to a successful first book launch.
This edition was written in a combination of time in Tim's studio writing and painting artwork for the book. The final process, a four day photo shoot at Search Press HQ for the step by step painting projects.

The second book about Perspective took two years from start to publication.
This was due to the time and effort Tim invested into the theme of perspective, thus appealing to artists of all levels and abilitiy
As a black and white publication this book was written and illustrated entirely from Tim's studio in Frisby on the Wreake.
It includes many tips and techniques and is suitable for any artist painting in all mediums.

The third book about painting in Oilpastels was the book that Tim had wanted to write for many years.

Oil pastel is a medium that alot of artists own, but are unsure about their painting qualities.
It is a fantastic painting medium and Tim`s book takes you through surfaces, techniques and use of oil pastel combined with other mediums.
All the paintings in the book were painted using Sennelier Oil Pastels as manufactured for Pablo Picasso by Sennelier.

2021 sees Tim embark on book number 4, details will be posted when available.
